A four-member delegation from the European Parliament, led by MEP Jean Lambert, will visit Sri Lanka this week, Government Information department said.
The purpose of the visit is to meet Government and civil society representatives to discuss Sri Lanka's progress on national reconciliation and its implementation of the international conventions applicable to GSP+ facility that was restored recently. The MEPs will also visit EU-funded projects in the North and will conduct an inter-parliamentary dialogue.
