Families in Puttalam left stranded

News

Families were left stranded in Puttalam according to local media reports when the spill gates of the Thabbowa reservoir in Puttalam were opened.

The Disaster Management Centre reported that Navy and Air Force personnel were assisting those affected.

Meanwhile, 27 sluice gates in the Ranjanganaya reservoir have been opened owing to the current weather.
