Finance Ministry instructs state bodies to suspend recruitments
The Finance Ministry has written to ministry secretaries and heads of state bodies instructing to suspend the recruitment of employees with immediate effect.
This would be until a review is carried out on the list of recruitments which had been suspended during the run-up to the presidential election.
The Election Commission had imposed a regulation suspending appointments, transfers, and promotions of state employees during the election period.
