On the instructions of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Central Cultural Fund (CCF) has initiated a programme to assist artistes who had been affected owing to the prevailing situation in the country.
Accordingly, as per legal provisions, the CCF has provided Rs 10 million to encourage artistes and to prevent them from abandoning the artistic field, the PM's Office said.
