Fisherman carrying turtles arrested
A fisherman with five turtles in his possession was arrested in Colombothurai, Ariyale in Jaffna yesterday (28), police said.
The suspect fisherman is known to have been involved in selling turtle meat in the past.
The suspect and the turtles have been handed over to the Fisheries Department for further action
