Five Kelaniya uni students arrested for ragging female fresher
Five students from the Kelaniya University have been arrested for allegedly ragging a female first year student. The arrested students, four females and one male student, are senior students of the university.
According to reports, the female student had lodged a complaint with police alleging that the senior students had severely ragged female first year students including her for coming to the campus wearing pants.
The suspects had allegedly claimed that there was a 'law' prohibiting female students from wearing pants during their first year.
