A five-member Supreme Court Bench has been appointed today to hear the petitions filed against the proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution. Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya will be the Chair of the Bench.
As of today, at least twelve petitions have been filed against the amendment to the Constitution within this week.
