With visitors unable to visit Sigiriya these days, the tourist traffic is moving towards the Minneriya National Park.
According to reports the park is inundated with visitors with only a single ticket counter and multiple vehicles going into the park at the same time.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
