Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Indra De Silva passed away today, police said. He was 71 years old. He served as the 28 th IGP from 2003 till he retired in 2004. The funeral will be held at Borella cemetray tomorrow at 5.00 pm.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
