Former JVP leader Somawansa Amarasinghe dead
Former leader of the JVP Somawansa Amarasinghe passed away this morning. He was 73.
Mr.Amarasinghe who took over the JVP leadership in 2001 after returning from nearly a decade in exile, having fled during the crackdown on the Party after the 1988-1990 insurrection. He quit as the JVP leader last year.
