Godakawela PS deputy chairman makes a get-away: Police
According to Police the Deputy Chairman of the Godakawela PS has fled the area. Investigations on the deputy chairman and two other persons regarding an incident where launched recently where they allegedly assaulted an owner of a bar and another individual. Deputy Chairman of the Godakawela PS, Suranjith Moramudali and two others have were in Godakawela, on SUnday night. Following an argument at the bar, the group had allegedly attacked the owner of the bar and his brother and then fled the location after taking money and goods. Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana was quoted by media as saying the Deputy Chairman in question had fled the location.
