Former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and 6 others were granted bail over the misuse of state funds used to construct the DA Rajapaksa memorial museum during the Rajapaksa regime.
The three-member judge bench at the Special High Court granted two bails worth Rs 100,000 and Rs1 million following a hearing that was held early this morning.
The Special High Court also imposed a travel ban on Rajapaksa and the six others suspects, local media reported.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is expected to leave for India today was also present during the hearing.
