President Gotabaya Rajapaksa took office as the Seventh Executive President of Sri Lanka at the auspicious time of 10:51 am today (Nov 19).
Religious observances were held at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.
Among those in attendance included former President Maithripala Sirisena and other party leaders who supported Rajapaksa during the presidential election.
