The Unemployed Graduests Association of Northern province, a group of graduates who are still seeking employment government sector years after graduation staged a protest infront of the Northern Provincial Council (NPC) in Kaithady today. The Chief Minister of NPC C. V. Wigneswaran met the graduates and explained to them that since the NPC lacks the administrative power to grant direct appointments to them he has already sent the details of those gradutes to President Secretariat and releavant departments to consider them when appointing graduates to the governemnt sector.
