Heavy traffic congestion in Fort owing to student union protest
Owing to a student union protest Galle Face road has been closed from Ceramic junction in Colombo Fort.
Heavy congestion has been reported in the Colombo Fort area.
The protest march organized by the Inter University Students' Union was begun from the University of the Visual and Performing Arts and proceeded towards Colombo Fort.
Undergraduates at the protest were demanding the resumption of classes for students who were suspended over incidents of ragging.
