Heavy traffic has been reported in Kotahena due to flooding near the Barber Street Junction along the main road connecting Nawaloka Roundabout and Pettah, police said.
Accordingly, the police have suggested the following alternative routes to be used during this time period;
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
