Heavy traffic has been reported around the Technical Junction in Maradana due to a protest march by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) today (Jun 12).
This protest march will proceed towards the Fort Railway Station, a spokesman for the party told Times Online.
According to the spokesman, the protest is being held to urge the removal of the government which, they claim, has failed to ensure national security.
The protestors are also urging the removal of the government for selling off the country's assets and also signing certain agreements which could affect the country negatively.
