Hendala Leprosy hospital converted to quarantine unit

The Leprosy Hospital in Hendala  will be converted into a quarantine unit for those arriving in Sri Lanka from South Korea, Italy and Iran in view of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)  spreading in these countries.

The Health Ministry plans to instruct all passengers returning from these countries to undergo the quarantine for two weeks, Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said in a statement.

The decision was taken at  National Action Committee on COVID-19 which met on Tuesday.
