Heroin hidden inside airmail parcel

Customs officials attached to the Airmail Parcel section of the Central Mail Exchange have detected a substance suspected to be heroin inside a parcel yesterday (07). 

Customs said the said parcel had been sent from Mumbai to a 30-year-old resident of Minuwangoda. 

The value of the seized contents is approximately Rs. 3 million. Two suspects aged 45 and 26 years have been arrested during the course of preliminary investigations.
