Patients faced inconveniences in obtaining treatment at state hospitals after government doctors took part in a one-day token strike today (Sept 18).
The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) claimed that a cabinet paper rectifying salary issues in the state sector, except for that of doctors, had been forwarded to the Treasury for observations.
The Union warned that it would continue trade union action next week if the cabinet decided to go ahead with the proposal.
