With COVID-19 again raising its head in the country, Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) from the Beruwala MOH office are visiting areas where large numbers of people congregate to educate the public on the importance of adhering to health guidelines.
Beruwala was hit hard during the first wave of the COVID outbreak, where a large number of persons from the area tested positive for the disease. These images show PHIs at the Beruwala weekly market, educating both shoppers and vendors of the importance of wearing face masks and adhering to COVID guidelines.
The PHIs also inspected the fruits that were being sold at the market.
