An Indian businessman has been arrested for smuggling narcotics worth around Rs 11 million into the country today (Oct 4).
The businessman had been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport with 1.7 kilos of a narcotic identified as 'Ice'.
The suspect, a 53-year old, had concealed the narcotics within a saree, customs officials said.
Further investigations are underway.
