Indictments were handed over to businessman Shanil Neththikumara for threatening a witness who gave evidence over the Central Bank Bond Scam case.
Netticumara was released on a cash bail of Rs 50,000 and two surety bails of Rs 500,000 each today by the High Court.
The Attorney General had filed indictments against the suspect for threatening the brother of Anika Wijesuriya who gave evidence against Minister Ravi Karunanayake at the Presidential Commission over the bond scam.
Meanwhile, court also imposed a travel ban on Neththikumara today. The case will be taken up for hearing on August 9.
