The Education Ministry premises in Battaramulla that was closed after an officer was tested positive for Coronavirus will open from Thursday (5), Secretary to the Ministry said.
Prof. Kapila Perera said the whole premises has been disinfected after an officer attached to the State Ministry (Education Reforms) was found infected with the virus on Tuesday(3).
He said most of the Ministry officials are presently following a ‘work from home’ system and reporting to office premises is allowed only on the approval from the head of the relevant departments.
Meanwhile Battaramulla Medical Officer of Health Dr. Jayampathy Amarasekare said those who had contacts with the patient have been placed under quarantine.
