Leader of Ilankai Thamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK) Mavai Senathirajah instructed party Secretary to sack five members of the party including Women Wing leader for levelling false allegations against the party and candidates who are contesting upcoming general elections.
The party leadership also decided to take disciplinary action against those members immediately.
Last week, Women Wing leader of ITAK Mrs S.Vimaleswaran told the media in Jaffna claiming that former ITAK MPs collected millions of money from the diaspora community for election purposes in the past and there was no transparency over what happened to those funds.
