The nine suspects who were arrested and remanded over the rape and murder of an 18 year old in Kytes, Pungudutivu have been further remanded till June 15 by Kytes magistrate A.Lenninkumar today.
The Magistrate ordered the police to sumbit a report to the Court after examining the blood types of the suspects. The investigations are now handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
Earlier President Maithripala Sirisena on Tuesday assured that the suspects involved in the rape and murder of the girl will be tried in a special court.
