A ship belonging to the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force arrived to Sri Lanka yesterday, Navy said. The Japanese Naval ship "Ikazuchi" docked at the Port of Trincomalee today making a 3-day official goodwill visit.
The ship was accorded a traditional Naval welcome upon its arrival at the Eastern Port by the Sri Lanka Navy.
The crew of the visiting ship is scheduled to take part in a number of events organized by their local counterparts during its stay in the island.
