Japanese Special Envoy Yasushi Akashi called on Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa today (Aug 19).
The meeting between Akashi, the Japanese Representative for Peace-Building, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction and Mr. Rajapaksa had taken place at the latter's official residence.
Parliamentarian Keheliya Rambukwella and former minister G.L. Peiris also attended the meeting.
