Convener of the Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) Lahiru Weerasekara and the Convener of the Inter University Bhikkhu Federation (IUBF) Venerable Tampitiye Sugathananda Thera were released on bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate. The two were produced in court today in relation to a case filed by Kollupitiya Police.
They were remanded in custody by the Colombo Fort Magistrate over violating a court order obtained on a request made by the Fort Police on October 10 and over violating bail conditions imposed earlier.
