Secretary to the former President, Lalith Weeratunga, has been summoned to the the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID), local media reported. Reports quoting the Police said Weeratunga was summoned to record a statement regarding a financial transaction of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
