Land Reform Commission director in Batticaloa injured in shooting
The Land Reform Commission (LRC) director of Batticaloa and Trincomalee districts, Nesathurai Wimalaraj, was injured in a shooting at his residence in Kaluwanchikudy yesterday, local media reported.
The shooting was carried out by two armed men who arrived on a motorcycle yesterday Police said.. Mr Wimalaraj has been admitted to the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital with serious injuries.
Kaluwanchikudy Police is conducting investigations.
