Lanka Sathosa reduces prices of 200 food items
Lanka Sathosa has announced that the prices of 200 essential food items will be reduced in line with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, Sathosa Deputy General Manager (Operations) Roshan S Hassan said.
Accordingly, the reduced prices of food items which will be in effect from yesterday (Apr 04) are as follows:
- Red Dhal - Rs 110
- Local Samba - Rs 84
- Red Rice - Rs 57
- White Rice - Rs 67
- White Sugar - Rs 97
- Sprats - Rs 669
- Canned Fish - Rs 195
- Big Onions - Rs 75
The prices of these food items have been reduced following a grant by the treasury, Mr. Hassan noted.
