The Dubai Public Prosecution has accused a Sri Lankan maid of robbing from her employer an estimated amount of Dhs 40,000 and jewellery, the Gulf Today reported.
The housewife employer said that while she was travelling abroad for treatment, her son had called her and informed that the maid had left the house. She suspected something fishy and asked him to inspect the money and the jewellery.
They discovered that the valuables had been stolen. The incident was reported to the police, and post investigations, it turned out that the maid had left the country.
