Lotus Road closed owing to protest march
Roads leading to Lotus Road about in Colombo and Bank Road have been temporarily closed due to a protest march by a group of disabled war veterans.
The protesters are demanding their pension rights, as previously promised by the government be given. Heavy traffic congestion has been reported and motorists are advised to use alternate roads.
