Madush to be questioned on VIP assassination plot, CID tells court
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today (May 07) informed court that steps would be taken to obtain a statement from underworld leader 'Makandure Madush' regarding the alleged conspiracy to assassinate the President and the Prime Minister.
This was informed during a hearing pertaining to the alleged assassination plot before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's court today.
Meanwhile, the Colombo Fort Magistrate's court also instructed the Police to submit a progress report on the investigations pertaining to the involvement of 'Madush' in the alleged assassination plot.
