The Defence Advisor attached to the High Commission of the Republic of Maldives, Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Mukthar paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, at the Naval Headquarters yestderday, the Navy said.
They held cordial discussions on matters of bilateral importance and mutual interest. Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
