A man has been hospitalised after he was shot at his residence in Mawanella this morning (Mar 09).
The shooting was carried out by two unidentified gunmen who had arrived in a motorcycle and opened fire at the victim while he was asleep.
The victim, a 37-year old was admitted to the Mawanella hospital and then transferred to the Kandy Hospital for further treatment.
Mawanella police have commenced investigations to apprehend the suspects involved in the shooting.
