Naval Intelligence personnel assisted to the troops of Police Special Task Force (STF) in Puttalam to arrest a consignment of 100 kgs Kerala cannabis (Ganja) while transferring by a cab in the general area of Mohoththuwaram in Kalpitiya yesterday.
According to the Navy, the raid was carried out by the naval personnel attached to SLNS Bharana, SLNS SLNS Thambapanni and SLNS Vijaya belonging the Northwestern Naval Command in coordination with the personnel of Police Special Task Force.
The suspect who involved in this racket,the vehicle and the stock of Kerala Ganja were handed over to Puttalam Police for onward investigations.
