Motorcycles will be banned from the Dehiwala flyover due from yesterday (Oct 13) due to an increase in accidents, police said.
Police said that motorcyclists have been ignoring the recently installed road symbols preventing them from using the flyover.
Accordingly, the Mount Lavinia Road Safety Committee and the Ratmalana Road Development Authority had taken a decision to officially declare that motorcycles would be banned from the flyover.
