Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa confirmed that he will attend the rally against the government organized by the joint opposition today at the Hyde Park in Colombo.
In his official Twitter handle he said: "Don't be misled by false propaganda. Former President Rajapaksa will attend Joint Opposition Rally, March 17, at Hyde Park in Colombo"
Earlier the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Duminda Dissanayake reportedly said that deciplinary action will be taken against those who attend the rally organized by a group of parliamentarians.
