Mr U.V.Sarath Rupasiri, today assumed duties as the new Commissioner General of Immigration.
Mr Rupasiri who earlier served in the Immigration Department for 23 years was serving as the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Social Empowerment.
He is a Sri Lanka Administrative Service Special grade officer.
