Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa said he willl provide a statement before the CID on the alleged VIP assassination plot tomorrow (Jan 23).
He explained that he has been ordered to be present before the CID in order to confirm the statements made by Indian national Marceli Thomas who is in custody for the alleged involvement in the case.
Earlier, the CID had sought permission from the Additional Magistrate of Colombo Magistrates' Court in order to obtain a statement from MPs Namal Rajapaksa, Wimal Weerawansa and his wife Shashi Weerawansa.
