Naval personnel attached in Nachchikuda arrested four local fishermen, engaged in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets in the seas off South of Iranathivu on Saturday. During the arrest, 2 FGD and 3 Monofilament nets used for fishing were taken into custody.
The arrested persons and the items were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries (Kilinochchi) for further investigations.
