Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that a coalition of parties would form the 'National Democratic Front' on August 5 in order to face the upcoming polls.
Speaking in Avissawella, Wickremesinghe said any party which adheres to democratic principles would be able to join the alliance that would comprise political groups, civic groups, and other related entities.
He explained that the parties which form the alliance, will be able to protect their identity, since the alliance would function under a common policy framework.
