New Batticaloa DS assumes duties

The new Batticaloa District Secretary, M. Uthayakumar officially assumed duties today (23). 

Mr Uthayakumar is a Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) Class I officer and has served as the Secretary of several Pradeshiya Sabha's prior to his appointment. 

He has also served as the Commissioner for the Public Administration for the Eastern Province.
