Brigadier A.W.M.P Roshan Seneviratne has been appointed the new Military Spokesman cum Director Media at Army Headquarters, effective from yesterday, Army said. He succeeded Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera who has been selected for an overseas training course.
The newly-appointed Brigadier Roshan Seneviratne who had been serving as the Deputy Military Liaison Officer at the Ministry of Defence, prior to being appointed as the Military Spokesman/Director Media, joined the Sri Lanka Army as an Officer Cadet on 1 October 1985 before he was posted to Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery as a Second Lieutenant, having completed his training at the Sri Lanka Military Academy at Diyatalawa.
