A State miniter and Deputy minister sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat today, President Media Unit said.
Priyankara Jayarathne sworn in as the State Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils, while Sarathi Dushmantha Mithrapala sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Buddha Shasana before the president. Mr. Mithrapala is also the current Deputy Minister of justice.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
