A resolution adopted by the Northern Province Council (NPC) suggesting a UN-monitored referendum in Sri Lanka has been submitted to the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
According to NPC member M.K. Sivajilingam, the resolution was submitted yesterday.
The resolution is also said to include the demand to establish an international war crimes court in Sri Lanka, NPC member M.K. Sivajilingam was quoted as saying to media.
