Abdul Sakthar Mohamed who was functioning as the Financial Controller of the National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) group has been taken into police custody in Gampola.
According to the police, 200 cash receipts which corroborated the exchange of funds amounting to over Rs 10 million within the NTJ members were discovered in the possession of the suspect.
The NTJ's Financial Controller was arrested in a rented house which was in close proximity to the shop in which two wanted suspects had been hiding in Gampola.
