A 28 year old man from Suriyawewa was arrested by Special Task Force
officers over the possession of four litres of banned herbicide glyphosate
worth over 4.2 million rupees.
The suspect has been handed over to the Suriyawewa police by the STF to
be produced before Embilipitiya Magistrate.
Ishara Sewwandi, the main suspect wanted for the shooting inside the Aluthkade No.05 Magistrate’s Court premises which killed alleged underworld figure ’’Ganemulla Sanjeewa,’’ has been arrested in Nepal.
